If you are interested in blogging or writing, You probably have heard about Blogger, Medium, and WordPress. But in this article, I’m only covering Blogger and Medium because they don’t require any amount of investment to start and earn money.

Blogger

Blogger aka Blogspot is a blog-publishing service that allows users to blog from a subdomain of blogspot.com. Under one account, a person can have 100 blogs. Blogger is available in sixty different languages. It allows users to select from various templates and customize them. Users can also create their own templates using CSS.

Earning in blogger can be quite difficult in the beginning but now they are making it easy. Blogger uses Google Adsense which brings ads to your website, A single webpage you can have 6 ads which is quite a lot if you compare it with YouTube where you can only have 4–5 ads.

For SEO, Blogger offers good tools and you get a high chance to appear in the search results because Blogger is owned by Google which I think helps.

The interface of the blogger used to be quite old but now they have upgraded it is still in a beta version. It has all the features from themes to HTML editing.

Medium

Medium is yet another online publishing platform launched in 2012. It is a relatively new platform compared to Blogspot. The platform hosts a vast array of written content on various topics. The design of this platform is very simple and minimalistic so that the focus can be given entirely on the content being published.

Earning in Medium is very different it doesn't rely on Ads, It has members who pay to read blogs ($5/Month) it is not easy to earn in Medium as compared to Blogger especially for beginners. For Example, If you post a blog in Medium it might not get any attention/views for months or even years depending upon the Medium algorithm I have seen blogs in my recommendation which are 2–3 years old.

In simple words, You don't get quickly get views in Medium.

For SEO, Medium doesn't offer much it completely depends upon Medium moderators.

The interface of Medium is quite sweet it is very easy even to set up your blogging account comparing to blogger.

Conclusion

If you are new to blogging then go for Medium as it is very easy to set up and when you get a good experience start a Blogger page which opens many options.

Hope you liked this article ;)
