Are AR Smart Glasses the next BIG thing?
In 2013, Google launched a pair of Smart Glass which didn’t appeal to a lot of people as it looked very sci-fic and was bulky thus not creating the impact which they thought they would, Smart Glasses were discontinued in early 2017.
This year when rumors started about Apple entering to smart glass market other companies such as Google also joined this race again by recently acquiring North, A smart glasses startup that makes stylish and less awkward glasses which can be controlled by phone via Bluetooth.
Facebook recently patented their own AR smart glass much like Microsoft’s Holo Lens still there isn’t much information about this product.
Are Smart Glasses the next big thing?
Yes, In simple words but Smart Glass market is still new companies such as Snapchat tried but couldn’t make a sizeable profit out of it. Apple and Google have a lot of resources that can change all of this and make this the next big thing.
